This sculpture plays with the contrast between serenity and ferocity, creating an intriguing sense of duality.
The child’s face, with its calm expression and introspective gaze, is framed by an imposing lion mask—a symbol of power and restrained aggression. The softness of his features, juxtaposed with the mechanical coldness of the surrounding elements, reinforces the feeling of a tense balance, as if the dormant beast awaited within innocence. The combination of organic and metallic textures adds depth to the piece, evoking the fusion between humanity and primal strength.
Sculpture modeled in clay, carved plaster, and repurposed objects. Reproduced in resin with new details by assembling repurposed objects and epoxy putty. Painted with shellac, chalk paint, acrylics, and varnish.
