This sculpture depicts a baby in a fetal position, with subtle mechanical details that barely disrupt its organic form. The ambiguous expression and the surface treatment, with greenish tones and rusty highlights, evoke a quiet unease: is it a living being or an artificial creation? The piece invites reflection on the beginning of life in a world where the biological and the technological can no longer be clearly separated.
Sculpture modeled in clay, carved plaster, and repurposed objects; reproduced in resin. Painted with shellac, chalk paint, acrylics, and varnish.
