A concept sketch for one of the characters from The World of Kal. The figure features a stylized and intricate mechanical anatomy, where cables, joints, and plates intertwine like artificial muscles and tendons. Its inclined posture and open hands introduce an unexpected sense of fragility within the technical structure.
Modeled in epoxy putty on a resin base with assembled repurposed objects. Painted with shellac, acrylics, chalk paint, wax, and varnish.
