Tomás Barceló
Freestanding sculpture
This small sculpture depicts a ritualistic, futuristic head elevated on a pedestal, as if it were a sacred relic. The face, painted in blue and copper tones, conveys both serenity and mysterious energy. Geometric forms that cross its surface evoke circuits or ceremonial tattoos, enhancing its symbolic character. The piece seems to belong to an unknown culture, existing on the boundary between the ancestral and the technological.
Sculpture modeled in clay, carved plaster, and repurposed objects; reproduced in resin. Painted with shellac, chalk paint, acrylics, and varnish.
