Collection: Tomas Barcelo

Tomás Barceló, Mallorcan sculptor born in 1975 and disciple of J.S. Jassans, is an artist who combines classical and archaic sculpture with assemblage and polychromy. His work, deeply expressive, invites the viewer into a universe in which fantasy and science fiction intertwine with a solemn and timeless religiosity.

Inspired by the aesthetics of science fiction, Tomàs Barceló presents his robots as introspective and almost spiritual figures, in a visual meditation on consciousness and the essence of being in the technological age. Each sculpture displays anthropomorphic features and details that evoke both the weight of the machine and the mystery of identity, suggesting that these beings might harbor a spark of soul or purpose. With his unmistakable style that blends the archaic and the futuristic, Barceló turns each portrait into a reflection on humanity in a world of artificial intelligences.
