Tomas Barcelo

Tomás Barceló, Mallorcan sculptor born in 1975 and disciple of J.S. Jassans, is an artist who combines classical and archaic sculpture with assemblage and polychromy. His work, deeply expressive, invites the viewer into a universe in which fantasy and science fiction intertwine with a solemn and timeless religiosity.

Inspired by the aesthetics of science fiction, Tomàs Barceló presents his robots as introspective and almost spiritual figures, in a visual meditation on consciousness and the essence of being in the technological age.
